The foursome will host the new year’s celebration and welcome fellow Disney stars such as Brenda Song, Alyson Stoner and Mitchel Musso to party with them as they countdown the last hours of 2008. Selena’s movie, Another Cinderella Story, will air on ABC Family in the new year on January 18th @ 8PM ET/PT. The film is the sequel to the 2004 Hilary Duff flick, A Cinderella Story, that follows the same storyline: A guy dances with the girl of his dreams at a costume ball and only has one hint to who she is and is on a mission to find her.

Disney starlet Selena Gomez hugs new pal Maria Ruiz from El Paso, Texas after awarding her the HERO award at the Second Annual CNN Heroes: An All Star Tribute held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on Saturday.

Several times a week, Ruiz crosses the border into Juarez, Mexico, bringing food, clothing and toys to hundreds of impoverished children and their families. What a heart!

On her closet: “It’s a mess! What used to be my guest room is now my closet. It’s also my mom’s closet, since we wear the same tops and shoes.”

On Canadian actress Rachel McAdams: “Rachel McAdams is wonderful. I’d have a heart attack if I met her!”

On her exes: “I get so mad about ex-boyfriends, but if a boy hurts me, I don’t write a song about it. They don’t deserve it!”

On fellow Disney pal Demi Lovato: “She’s been my best friend since I was 7. I want the best for Demi, and she wants the best for me.”

Selena Gomez & Demi Lovato Style Up Seventeen

BFFs Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato share their style secrets in the December/January issue of Seventeen magazine.

The two Disney Channel Texans, both 16, sat down with the teen mag to talk all about their own personal styles. Selena shared that she has weakness for scarves: “Part of my closet is just scarves. And then I’ll open drawers and find them randomly…I’m obsessed.”

Demi revealed that Selena is rubbing off on her too: “Right now I have a big bag [that I carry around], but sometimes I don’t carry it because I hate having the weight. I think Selena has rubbed off on me, she never carries a purse.”

Selena Gomez is pretty in pink in the debut of her new music video, Fly to Your Heart. The official music video was just released and will be featured on the new animated film from Disney, Tinkerbell.

The animated feature film debuts October 28th and follows fairy Tinker Bell as she thinks her fairy talent as a “tinker” isn’t as special or important as the other fairies’ talents. But when Tink tries to change who she is, she creates nothing but disaster!

UNICEF to Selena Gomez: You Are A Great Role Model!

The 16-year-old Wizards of Waverly Place star was recently named spokesperson for the 2008 Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign, which encourages children to make Halloween count by helping other children around the world.
“I am extremely excited to be this year’s Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF spokesperson,” said Selena. “I want to help encourage other kids to make a difference in the world and show them that Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is such a great, fun way to get involved.”
“We are thrilled to have Selena be a part of the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF program this year,” said Caryl Stern, President and CEO of the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. “Young people can relate to Selena, and she is a great role model who we believe will greatly enhance the visibility of the program.”

Selena Gomez began her acting career at the age of seven, where she spent her birthday at an open casting call competing with thousands of others for a role in the hit children's television series Barney and Friends. She was cast as a recurring character named Gianna in seasons seven and eight. Gomez appeared in national commercials for several companies including Wal-Mart, Hasbro and TGI Friday’s. In 2003 she was cast in the movie Spy kids 3D for a small role. She made a small appearance in the made-for-television movie, Walker, Texas Ranger Trial by Fire. That same year, she landed the lead role of Emily Grace Garcia alongside Lewis Parry in the movie Brain Zapped. This is her first main role in a film.
